A BLOATED frog always looked up at the sky from deep inside a well and saw some stars even in day time not to speak of the ENJOYABLE DARKNESS at night when it felt the sky was lit in exquisite brilliant white with twinkling of stars. It thought how mighty was its god in creating its wonderful UNIVERSE. Wow! How beautiful “MY GOD” is to have created this world” it thought and started croaking in PRAYER. And it was sure its god was pleased.
One day a Yogi while drawing water from the well removed the miserable bloated creature and for the first time placed it firmly on land when it saw the Sun for the first time and felt shocked and TERRIFIED asking itself: WHAT AM I SEEING? It immediately realised that this was blasphemy at its worst. How dare such a thing as Sun come to exist when my God had made everything dark so that stars only can light the sky while Moon was created to add vigor to the twinkling stars?
It refused to listen to the Yogi who said, “Hey frog you have been liberated. Now watch the new Universe. For the first time you have come out of darkness into light. You prison term in the well is now over. There are any number of ponds around you and you can safely move there.”
The frog felt offended. It refused to believe the Yogi who was saying against what it had been taught since its birth in the well.
In the mean time a snake was passing by and saw the JUICY frog sitting confused not knowing how to move either towards the well or away from it. But the frog though it knew well its well where peace and happiness flourished. But being BLOATED for too long — yes for lack of exercise! — IT LACKED THE POWER TO OUTRUN THE SNAKE AND JUMP BACK INTO THE WELL HAVING BEEN PLACED SOME DISTANCE AWAY FROM THE WELL BY THE YOGI. The snake which was doing lot of its daily yoga by climbing trees and slithering through the bushes had no problem in catching this contemptible, MISERABLE croaking creature. To cut a long story short the frog ended inside snake’s stomach as a well-deserved meal.
MORAL OF THE STORY:
MAY BE IF only THE FROG HAD DONE SOME YOGA IT WOULD not have been bloated in the first place and equally important would HAVE HAD THE SENSE TO BELIEVE WHAT THE YOGI SAID AND QUICKLY MOVE INTO A POND WHERE ITS LIFE COULD HAVE BEEN SAVED.
