ZERO TOLERANCE TO HUMAN FREEDOM

As if by some premonition I had posted a few days back “ARE WE REALLY FREE?” and lo! the Gujarat Assembly on Tuesday passed the Gujarat Control of Terrorism and Organised Crime Bill 2015.

Does organised crime need such draconian laws when we have surfeit of laws? Presumably the bill is aimed at terrorists who least care for such bogus bills. It is laughable if not for its sheer madness.

India has been destroyed “bit by bit” because of such laws which chip away human freedom — and IRONICALLY every Indian should thank Narendra Modi for admitting it and his oft-stated commitment to repeal most of them. We call ourselves a democracy but degrade ourselves mindlessly.

After this anti-terror bill everyone will be scared of the “slaves of the politicians” watching YOU and ME. If a constable is looking at someone there is bound to be a spontaneous fear in aam admi (it is already there but now it will drive you silly) and he or she COULD FEEL sick and terrified — “UNLIKE” A TERRORIST — FOR FEAR OF BEING DESTROYED MENTALLY AND PHYSICALLY under this bill if not under any one of the umpteen laws (old relics) still on the statute.

CAN DEMOCRACY SURVIVE WHEN BIG BROTHER watches YOU EVILLY?

The fools who pass such a bill should have asked a simple question: Do the terrorists who are on a suicide mission care for any God damn anti-terror bill? We have FAT CATS in our statute like Code of Criminal Procedure (CrPC ) and Evidence Act which are more than enough to convict anyone even if innocent of a crime, let alone a marauding terrorist. INDIA HAS ASTRONOMICAL ANTI-PEOPLE LAWS and EVEN AN ANT CAN BE CONVICTED OF TERRORISM!!

Rajnikant Patel, Minister of State Home, says the bill protects Gujarat from Pakistan’s cross-border terrorism, and stops proliferation of criminal gangs. Therefore he needs a stringent law which UNFORTUNATELY turns out to be like the one Hitler had: THE POWER OF DEATH OVER every GERMAN after he became (MY) FUEHRER

If this bill is needed to stop “organised criminal syndicates making a common cause with terrorist gangs beyond national boundaries who foster macro terrorism,” then let us scrap all the laws on the statute and have ONLY this one. Won’t that be easy and smooth to enforce safety and discipline?

GUJCOC of 2004 was rejected twice by then Presidents Abdul Kalam and Pratibha Patil. Why grind the old atta and pass it with a brute majority? PRANAB MUKHERJEE MUST BOOT THIS LAW OUT OF THE WINDOW WITH THE CONTEMPT IT DESERVES

One of the draconian provisions of the Bill include confession made before a police officer admissible in the trial. If a police officer says to confess to someone that he attempted to kill the LATE Margaret Thatcher he will do it immediately fearing third degree. If this is admissible in court it is MISCARRIAGE OF JUSTICE.

There are other nasty provisions and one such shit is phone tapping. The new law enables the “Khaki Slaves” to detain YOU and ME for 180 days merely on the basis of phone records even IF spoken in lighter vein.

BJP spokesperson Sudanshu Mittal argued with Rajdeep Sardesai yesterday that if MOCOCA is legal so too the Gujarat bill. This is like saying if ISIS can rape why not others. This is a perverted argument.

In my post “Are we really free?” (see the post) I had stated: “TODAY AS THINGS STAND your right and mine to equality before law, freedom of speech and expression, to assemble peacefully and without arms, to move freely throughout the territory of India, to reside and settle in any part of the territory of India, and to practice any profession or to carry out any occupation, trade or business etc can be violated under Article 31C under the garb of improving the “economic system.”

INDIANS HAVE BEEN TURNED INTO SLAVES. WHY HARASS THE SLAVES FURTHER?

Pranab Mukherjee must stop this assault on helpless citizens. Even if India is a STALINISTIC DEMOCRACY(I am sure the President is not part of it) at least let there be a fig-leaf of freedom.
